Central Rehabilitation Hospital has moved to a new freestanding inpatient rehabilitation hospital in partnership with Seton Healthcare Family.
The 59,000 square foot hospital has 50 beds. The new hospital replaces our former 20-bed facility, which Kindred operated within Seton Medical Center Austin a few blocks south of the new site. The new hospital features a therapy pool and specialized programs for patients with complex physical and cognitive needs. "The new location is designed to help our superb rehabilitation team maximize the abilities of people with a wide range of injuries and illnesses," said Tom Gallagher, President and Chief Executive Officer of Seton Ventures and Alliances. "With so many advances taking place in neurosciences, we see much hope for significantly improving patient quality of life for what were once devastating conditions." Seton is a member of Ascension Health, the largest not-for-profit health network in the nation. This inpatient rehabilitation hospital is "another example of our commitment to developing high quality, cost-effective healthcare services and providing a continuum of services that allows us to 'Continue the Care' for our patients and residents through an entire episode of treatment and recovery," said Paul J. Diaz, Chief Executive Officer of Kindred.
